Hong Kong’s CLOCKENFLAP FESTIVAL announces first wave of names for 2025

Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s biggest international outdoor music and arts festival, has announced a stellar line-up of global talent that showcases some of the most amazing names in music from the east and the west.  Excitement is building for another epic three-day weekender when the festival returns to Central Harbourfront from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 December, 2025. 

J-pop fans are in for a treat as Japanese superstar VAUNDY will make history at Clockenflap, marking his first-ever public performance outside Japan on the festival’s opening night for his sole Asian show outside his home country this year. Indonesian rap star Rich Brian, acclaimed British singer-songwriter Jacob Collier and Scottish indie legends Franz Ferdinand are all confirmed to perform, as are art-pop legends Sparks who will play Hong Kong for the first time ever.

Former Portishead frontwoman and trip-hop trailblazer Beth Gibbons, Mandarin pop star Yoga Lin, fêted Hong Kong singer-songwriter Panther Chan, Californian indie heroes TV Girl, acclaimed American singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker, Canadian post-rock masters Godspeed You! Black Emperor, British singer-songwriter Passenger, French nu-disco act L’Imperatrice and Japanese indie-popsters Chilli Bean. showcase the broad range of global talent performing across the festival’s six stages.
Thai vocalist Phum Viphurit, intriguing Japanese duo RIKON, Japanese rising vocalist/songwriter Akasaki, US alt-indie favourite Soccer Mommy, Singaporean synth-pop chanteuse yeule, German electro-house hellraisers Digitalism (DJ SET), UK techno legend Dave Clarke, British DJ/producer Special Request, Polish guitar rising star Marcin, Taiwanese funk act Robot Swing, Taiwanese singer-songwriter Andr perform in Hong Kong as do UK-based Japanese DJ Riria, whose acclaimed Boiler Room performance has captivated fans globally, Belgian maverick Bolis Pupul and Estonian nu-folk duo PUULUUP with UK dubstep courtesy of DJ RSD.

Other newly announced highlights include DJ duo of Johnny Takigero and Pesky Azabu Punks, and Hong Kong shoegaze band Chung’s Astrology will pay tribute to the late Hong Kong indie legend Kwan King Chung—the band’s founding member—by performing his final works at Clockenflap.
