Apologies for the tardiness my friends, as I was feeling extremely sluggish and tired of late. So, the new single from our Canadian cousin Mike Milan Dedic has been sitting quietly in my inbox for a bit, I thank Mike for his patience.
The line up on this outing consists of Chris Lee Diedrich on drums, Nick Monaco on keys and Mike handling guitar and bass duties. The recording and mixing responsibilities have been assigned to Josh Pearson and Michael Jack respectively.
With ‘Arena’ I immediately get Dragonforce and Yngwie fighting for a space in my brain, there is a notable energy; positivity flowing gracefully like an electrical charge. It is as charming as it is invigorating and testament to the skill of the musicians involved.
Personally, I love all the ‘knob-twiddling’ it takes me back to an era when such attributes were seen as overindulgent. However, I feel we are entitled to a little luxury, life is tough, and it is lovely to take some time out, slap this on and lose yourself for a few minutes.
Let your room become the stadium for the music of Mike Milan Dedic, let your senses dance in the arena he has created.
Always entertaining, always precise with his work and its presentation, step into his arena and allow yourself to escape into a world that is enriching and healing at a time when our lives, quite literally depend on it.
