*New Review* Scottish Pavement Punx THE EDDIES drop their intensely anthemic MINI-LP ‘Unfinished Business’.

Street Rockers The Eddies finally push out a full-length-ish release, and it was well worth the wait. The nine-song mini-album is jam-packed with lung-bursting choruses, rebellion riffs, and a hammer-happy rhythm section. Opener ‘Control’ lashes out with a wild at heart tempo, some military vocals and an anarchic chant chorus. The concrete pounding ‘Streetlife ’25’ is inside-railed by the dangers of being addicted to the Punch ‘N’ Roll of ‘Excess’. The short-start-stop intro of ‘Don’t Talk To Me’ is replaced by the road rage, steering wheel slap of prime time Street Punk lead single as ‘The Rage’ offers another chance to bellow your throat hoarse. A rudimentary ‘S.O.S’ is easily surpassed by the severe, burning exasperation of ‘Problem’ while the butcher’s cleaver to the temple of ‘Liar’ thrashes, crashes in the Disco of Dirtbox. The final cut, ‘Lockdown’, is spat out at breakneck speed and completes this gloriously throat-grabbing, shin-kicking and pint-lobbing release. Bravo.
