We managed to catch up with Kat Von D as she spoke about her upcoming tour and much more!

So you will be touring in Europe in June, is there any particular country/city you’re most looking forward to visiting?

I’m excited about every stop we are making because it’s been so long since I’ve been in Europe, but I’m definitely looking forward to making a pit stop at the Bone Church while we are in the Czech Republic.

Can you tell us anything about the support acts on the tour?

This tour is quite special for many reasons, but one of them being that it will be Prayers first time touring Europe opening for every show, minus the Dublin date and our festival dates, so i know a lot of his fans are so excited.

For the two dates in Spain, we are proud to include a local synthwave duo from Madrid, called Challenger. I discovered them in Instagram, and am so excited to meet them in person and get to play with them as well.

As for the London, and Dublin shows, our dear friends, and synthwave geniuses, LeBrock will be joining!

Its going to be a great lineup.

So how was the release of your album ‘My Side of the Mountain’ last year?

The response from my fans and followers has been so overwhelming. We just wrapped up a US tour earlier this yer and being able to play in front of people and have them sing along with me is the most heartwarming feeling on the planet.

What was it like working with Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz and LA songwriter Ferras on this album

I’m a huge fan of Arch Enemy, so it was a huge honor to have Alissa sing on “I Am A Machine” with me.  I know it required pulling Alissa out of her usual metal world and bringing her into this electronic realm, but I think the final outcome was something that both our fanbase loved.

She’s so damn talented, and a dream to work with.

Would you say out of everything you’ve done over your long diverse career, is this album something you’re most proud of to this date?

Music is my favourite medium to work within. I love tattooing, drawing and designing – but music connects me with my fans on a different level that just can’t be beat.

Have you got any other exciting projects in the works after the tour?

I have a few collars and new music coming very soon, but we are on the verge of announcing an exciting festival tour this summer across the US, but official announcement won’t be until May.

If you could choose just one profession whether it is singing or being a tattoo artist, what would it be or would it be something else?

Music. Hands down.

All tickets went on general sale last week on Friday, 14th February.
