Boomtown 2025 reveals BASHY, CASISDEAD, BLANCO, MJ COLE, LADY LESHURR and more for Nexus stage

With the final tickets for this summer’s chapter now on sale, Boomtown continues to ramp up the excitement, unveiling a huge wave of artists today for the NEXUS stage. Set in the district of Botanica, this year’s lineup showcases a rich and diverse soundscape, bringing an eclectic mix of talent to the heart of Boomtown’s ever-evolving world from 6-10th August.

As NEXUS comes to life, UK rap veteran Bashy will take the stage, bringing the energy that helped shape grime’s golden era. His powerful presence and raw passion make for an electrifying performance that deeply connects with the crowd. His recent album Being Poor Is Expensive has only amplified his captivating shows, blending fierce raps with an emotional, introspective journey.

The enigmatic CASISDEAD will bring gritty storytelling and haunting beats to the district of Botanica. With his debut album Famous Last Words, CAS transports listeners into a dystopian world of crime, vice, and regret. Known for his anonymity and distinctive lyricism, he creates a cinematic experience, fusing 80s-inspired synth pop with rap and sci-fi storytelling.

Elsewhere the NEXUS stage adds a diverse array of talent, including UK garage pioneer MJ Cole revisiting his classic Sincere, South Africa’s ‘future ghetto punk’ queen Moonchild SanellyBlanco with his hard-hitting bars and unapologetic flow, and the razor-sharp lyricist Lady Leshurr, famous for her viral Queen’s Speech freestyles. Also joining the lineup today is Rubii, MF Doom by Deyu, Eva Lazarus, Window Kid, DRS Live, Kofi Stone and many more, all set to deliver the heat to Boomtown 2025.
With plenty of artists still to be announced, Boomtown’s musical programme is shaping up to be a vibrant tapestry of sound, featuring everything from hip-hop and post-punk to reggae, world music, folk, and beyond. With genres spanning drum and bass, techno, house, rock, jungle, disco, and psytrance, the lineup promises a sonic journey like no other.

With a strong emphasis on environmental activism, the festival is a dynamic platform for action through a rich fusion of music, culture, and advocacy. Continuing Boomtown’s tradition of extraordinary entertainment, featuring immersive narratives, modern circus performances, art, and dance, rounded-off with jaw-dropping production, are three guiding pillars: Creativity, Connection, and Celebration, with the core values of Respect yourself, Respect each other, and Respect the planet inspiring every interaction.

EDITORS NOTESAbout Boomtown
Boomtown 2025 will take place at Matterley Bowl in Hampshire between Wednesday 6th August – Sunday 10th August 2025. This year marks the 16th edition of the innovative music, arts and culture festival, and will play host to 66,000 inspired festival goers throughout the weekend.

Renowned for its boundary-pushing approach to music and sustainability, Boomtown is set to host the first hydrogen powered stage at a UK Major Festival in 2025 on HYDRO. This groundbreaking achievement has been made possible through an exciting collaboration with Hydrologiq, a Hydrogen power business at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions.

Boomtown is a key supporter of the South Downs National Park’s major nature recovery drive. The Trees for The Downs initiative aims to plant 100,000 trees by 2030. In December 2024, during National Tree Week, it was announced that 20,294 trees, including 400 disease-resistant elms, would be planted this winter, bringing the total to 75,000 trees. South Downs National Park recognised that this year’s planting was made possible by generous donations, including Boomtown’s support, which has funded more than half of the trees, focusing on sites in and around the festival.
