With an earth shattering five -octave vocal range, Sari Schorr is an exceptional singer and a champion of the Blues Rock scene. The New Yorker used her incredible talent to forge her path through an industry that can sometimes treat artists as disposables and make the journey more difficult. Despite the challenges, Sari is an eloquent speaker, she knows about the world and all the trappings. Her wealth of experience and knowledge is evident in her lyrics, she is well travelled and has the advantage of seeing life through many lenses.
She is a humanitarian; having worked as a first responder at the time of 9/11 and as a volunteer in the relief efforts after the Haiti earthquake, it is not surprising that she is free of the restraints that keep most of us tethered to views that are narrow and unyielding. Her outlook and intentions are for the benefit of everyone, we need to work together to rid our world of hate and injustice.
A regular on Great Music Stories radio with the inimitable Guy Bellamy, she has gained many fans and followers, and her attitude and projection is admirably enshrined in the title of her debut album ‘A Force Of Nature’ which was released in 2016 and was produced by Mike Vernon. Her career has blossomed as a result of her awareness and rationality, her voice radiates truth, it touches the soul and in return we recognise and appreciate her undertaking.
A voice that shines, powerful and assured, she leaves an indelible mark of harmony, favour and community in her wake.
The sensationally stirring single ‘Back To L.A.’ is a reminder that all roads lead to home, wherever and whatever that maybe. Los Angeles is one of the many musical homes dotted around the world. A place that is sometimes out of reach, but you know the music that is from there will be a comfort to you.
Her new album, to be released on 1st August 2025, will be played in full, exclusively at all her upcoming UK shows, and fans that have bought a ticket will be given a free link to stream the album at the end of each show. What an incredible feat of dedication, and respect for the industry and for the public. It is her way of supporting a scene where grassroots venues are closing down rapidly and there needs to be some way of ensuring we never lose the gift of live music. Also, at each show there will be a chance to request songs from her impressive back catalogue.
We are honoured to have her back on these shores this April and May, with a new band line up which will include two guitarists, Ash Wilson and Jamie Walker. It is an extremely exciting prospect, an unbreakable band making for an unbreakable tour.
