MIKA, BILLY BRAGG, DOVES AND MORE ANNOUNCED FOR LATITUDE

Latitude Festival, the ultimate summer celebration where music, comedy, theatre, podcasts, and the arts collide, has unveiled more of its incredible 2025 lineup. Set in the picturesque grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk, from July 24 to 27, this year’s festival promises a vibrant, eclectic celebration of creativity in all its forms. With a dynamic mix of iconic artists and emerging talent, Latitude brings together music lovers, theatre enthusiasts, comedy fans, and art aficionados for an unforgettable experience.

Alongside previously announced headliners Sting, Snow Patrol, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, and Elbow, the festival will also feature Mika, Doves, Billy Bragg, and many more. But Latitude is more than a music festival—its theatre and performance programme is poised to captivate with groundbreaking shows and immersive experiences, solidifying the festival as the ultimate destination for boundary-pushing entertainment. Renowned for his flamboyant style, powerful vocals, and infectious energy, MIKA has enchanted audiences globally with era-defining hits such as “Grace Kelly,” “We Are Golden,” and “Popular Song,” which have collectively garnered billions of streams. Since his breakthrough in 2007 with Life in Cartoon Motion, MIKA has persistently pushed creative boundaries, earning accolades from the BRIT Awards, Grammys, and MTV across multiple continents. With over 15 million albums sold and Gold or Platinum status in 32 countries, MIKA’s talent for blending joy, introspection, and dazzling melodies ensures his performances will be among the festival highlights. His remarkable stage presence and gift for storytelling through music will make his set a theatrical showcase of pop brilliance.

The return of Doves to Latitude marks a significant moment for the Manchester-based indie legends. Known for their soaring soundscapes and evocative lyrics, this performance will be their first major festival appearance since announcing their 2025 UK tour and upcoming album, Constellations for the Lonely. While vocalist Jimi Goodwin is stepping back from live performances to focus on his mental health, the band’s remaining members, Jez and Andy, have crafted a unique experience for fans by alternating vocals. Their return promises a powerful, emotionally charged performance, reaffirming their status as one of Britain’s most beloved indie acts.

Billy Bragg brings his signature blend of folk, politics, and passion to the stage. With a career spanning over four decades, Bragg has established himself as a fearless recording artist, tireless live performer, and dedicated political activist. His extensive discography includes 11 solo studio albums, collaborations with Wilco on the Grammy-nominated Mermaid Avenue series, and a joint project with Joe Henry. Beyond music, Bragg is a respected author, with works such as Roots, Radicals & Rockers and The Progressive Patriot, demonstrating his deep engagement with social and cultural issues. Having collaborated with legendary musicians such as Johnny Marr, Kirsty MacColl, and R.E.M., his influence spans genres and generations, ensuring his set will be both thought-provoking and inspiring.

Known for her raw and emotive songwriting, Jade Bird returns to Latitude. Following the release of her introspective EP Burn the Hard Drive, which delves into themes of personal growth and healing, Bird is set to deliver a performance blending folk, indie, and contemporary production. Her honest storytelling and soaring vocals promise to create a captivating atmosphere, making her set a must-see.

Matilda Mann, known for her soulful blend of folk and pop, will also perform at the Obelisk Arena. Her debut album, Roxwell, will be released tomorrow, and her performance will highlight the introspective and heartfelt storytelling that defines her sound. Her music weaves emotional depth with catchy melodies, and her delicate yet powerful vocals will create a captivating atmosphere for festival-goers. Also on stage are Remember Monday, the UK’s Eurovision 2025 hopefuls, who will bring a fresh sound and rising energy to the festival. 

As night falls, the Sunrise Arena will transform into a haven for late-night revellers, with HiTech and Future Utopia leading the charge. HiTech, known for high-energy performances, will blend elements of Detroit techno with futuristic beats, creating an immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of electronic music. Future Utopia, the brainchild of Grammy-winning producer Fraser T. Smith, will offer a boundary-pushing sound fusing electronica, hip-hop, and thought-provoking lyricism. 

During the day, the Sunrise Arena stage will host an equally thrilling lineup of headliners, each bringing their unique flair. Glasgow-based jazz collective corto.alto will deliver an explosive set packed with improvisation and genre-blending innovation, fusing elements of hip-hop, electronica, and brass-led grooves. Pozer, fresh off the release of his debut EP Against All Odds, is set to bring a high-energy performance blending punk, electronic, and alternative influences. His rapid ascent has earned him a MOBO Award, a BBC Sound of 2025 nomination, and a reputation as one of UK music’s most exciting new voices. Meanwhile, the riotous Lambrini Girls, known for their raw, unapologetic punk anthems and electric stage presence, will shake up the festival with a fearless, high-octane performance. With such a diverse and innovative lineup spanning jazz, punk, electronic, and beyond, the Sunrise Stage is set to be a melting pot of musical creativity, offering festival-goers an unforgettable experience from dawn to dusk.

The Sunrise Stage continues to be a hotbed for emerging talent, offering a diverse and forward-thinking lineup. This year’s bill spans an exciting mix of genres, from the genre-blurring, soulful sounds of Bricknasty to the melodic garage-rap stylings of KiLLOWEN, whose latest single Pick Your Poison reimagines Bell Biv DeVoe’s ’90s classic with a modern twist. W.H. Lung brings their hypnotic fusion of krautrock, post-punk, and synthpop—sharpened through work with Arctic Monkeys and MIA collaborator Ross Orton. Humble The Great presents an explorative manifestation of his experiments with pop, R&B, soul, and indie, seamlessly blending these genres into a sound that is both intimate and expansive. Honeyglaze brings a theatrical edge to post-punk, with Anouska Sokolow’s vocals shifting from hushed, melodic 3 AM musings to soul-piercing wails, evoking the emotional intensity of Mercury Prize winners English Teacher. 

 jasmine.4.t delivers ethereal, genre-blurring compositions, emerging from a seismic few years with her debut album You Are the Morning, co-produced by Boygenius. Sarah Julia, the Dutch sister duo, debut their emotive folk-pop, with their debut EP How Do We Go Back to Being Normal? earning them a growing following. Tommy WÁ weaves Afro soundscapes into his music, blending contemporary African folk, indie, and retro-soul with deep passion and soul. Jacob Alon, a Scottish singer-songwriter, crafts intimate, introspective music with haunting vocals and poetic lyrics, drawing comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright. Rosie Lowe, known for her versatile voice, blends sultry bossa nova, breakbeats, and ambient synths on her most creatively impressive album to date, Lover, Other.

BBY, known for their experimental pop edge, seamlessly blend modern synths with bold songwriting to create a fresh, boundary-pushing sound. Joining them is British alt-rock band bôa, best known for their 1998 hit Duvet, which gained a cult following as the opening theme for the anime Serial Experiments Lain and recently saw a resurgence on TikTok. The band, which reunited after nearly two decades, released their 2024 album Whiplash, reintroducing their signature sound to both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners. Also performing is Cliffords, a five-piece from Cork, Ireland, delivering dynamic indie rock infused with emotional depth. Chloe Qisha captivates with her emotive folk-pop, earning recognition through her debut EP and standout performances at Eurosonic and Omeara. Annahstasia brings her soulful, shape-shifting sound to Latitude, blending folk, R&B, and raw emotion into a spellbinding performance that lingers long after the last note.

Latitude’s theatre programme once again delivers an electrifying mix of storytelling and awe-inspiring spectacle. From punk-fueled rebellion to gravity-defying acrobatics, this year’s lineup celebrates creativity in all its wild, fearless, and joyful forms.

Ahead of its October premiere, fearless theatre-maker Bryony Kimmings brings a work in progress of her first solo show in a decade, Bog Witch, to Latitude Festival. Known for her fearless storytelling and signature mix of vulnerability and hilarity, Created to celebrate the opening of Soho Theatre Walthamstow, this is Bryony Kimmings’ first solo show for nearly half a decade. Bog Witch is about how we have forgotten what it feels like to nuzzle into the bosom of Mother Nature… and what amazing things will happen if we remember. Kimmings is a playwright, performer, and screenwriter whose critically acclaimed stage plays include Sex Idiot7 Day DrunkCredible Likeable Superstar Role Model, and I’m a Phoenix, Bitch. A bold and provocative voice in contemporary theatre, Kimmings is known for tackling female stories, social taboos, and power structures with wit, honesty, and creativity. 

Returning to Latitude with their latest groundbreaking show, Gravity & Other Myths: Ten Thousand Hours showcases the breathtaking skill of one of the world’s most innovative contemporary circus companies. Following sell-out performances of Macro and The Pulse at the Edinburgh International Festival, as well as Fringe-favourite A Simple Space, this Adelaide-based troupe brings eight world-class acrobats together to explore physical skill—how we obtain it, how we perfect it, and how it can transform our lives. Blending acrobatics, dance, and theatre, Ten Thousand Hours is a raw and awe-inspiring look at human dedication and mastery, proving that gravity is merely a suggestion when passion and persistence take centre stage.

Award-winning theatre-maker Victoria Melody brings a preview of her new show to Latitude, under the direction of legendary comedian Mark Thomas. Described by Time Out as someone who “should be a national treasure, a household name,” Melody has spent years embedding herself in England’s most passionate niche communities. In this new work, Melody embarks on a bold exploration of history, identity, and grassroots power, set in Whitehawk, a council estate in East Brighton. Weaving together the world of historical re-enactment societies with real-life stories of a community fighting for its future, it’s a moving and humorous celebration of resilience, unity, and the magic of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

With a riot of noise and energy, Sarah Blanc’s Punk Alley invites audiences of all ages into the world of punk rock. This immersive theatre experience smashes the fourth wall, encouraging festivalgoers to grab an instrument, shout into a microphone, or simply soak in the chaos. Bursting with live music, interactive storytelling, and a rebellious spirit, Punk Alley is a rallying cry for creative freedom and self-expression.  

For an adrenaline-fueled spectacle, YUCK Circus make a triumphant return to Latitude to flip traditional circus on its head with a riotous, high-energy performance packed with acrobatics, comedy, and unapologetic female power. Promising as many chuckles as gasps of wonder, this Aussie troupe blend high-flying stunts with razor-sharp wit, making for a show as hilarious as it is breathtaking. Expect bold satire, jaw-dropping feats of strength, and a wild celebration of silliness in this must-see festival highlight.

With a deeply atmospheric and moving performance, Gigspanner Big Band & Raynor Winn present Saltlines, blending music, storytelling, and landscape into an evocative exploration of Britain’s coastal history. Bestselling author Raynor Winn (The Salt Path) and the renowned folks-root supergroup Gigspanner Big Band weave traditional folk melodies with tales of those who have lived and worked along the shores, celebrating resilience, nature, and the spirit of adventure.

The Cocoa Butter Club offers a powerful and joyous reclamation of space, identity, and creative freedom. This boundary-pushing collective of Black and POC performers takes audiences on an unforgettable journey through music, dance, spoken word, and burlesque. Join them as they bring a new work to the Latitude Festival Theatre Arena for the first time.

As ever, theatre at Latitude spills out of the big top and into every corner.
