Caravan Of Love

‘You will not remember where my body can be found’

On Friday 20th December Guy B packed away his headphones and locked the door on his caravan, to close a chapter on what has been a magnificent run of shows on Great Music Stories Radio. A true champion of new music, he interviewed bands, promoted their songs, and presented a radio show every Friday for the last decade.
The show attracted a regular following, and some of the listeners forged friendships and attended gigs and festivals together. Fuelled by Maxwell House and Dundee cake we all gathered for tea each week to share in the vibrant chat and musical therapy sessions. A vehicle that was a voice for good, to help bands get ‘a fair kick of the ball’ he supported those who had been let down in an industry that has become more of a liability than a responsible tool helping artists nourish and flourish.
Our Warrington warriors, Copperworm, celebrated this moment by releasing a song called ‘One Day’ which is part of their recent Matchbox Studio recordings.
It has all the sounds and flavours that we know and love, distinctive yet sensitive and subtle in the delivery. My friend HRH Peter Wolfe is a trooper, he is an admirable entity in a world of insanity and chaos. He is fair and just in his assessment of music, life and all the obstacles they can bring. Despite all the negativity, Copperworm, I feel are rich in their empathy and inclusivity and their support and encouragement of other artists. Always a pleasure to work with, I for one am grateful for their friendship and for the trust they place in me and Original Rock.
One day, this will all end, your actions in the here and now are what you leave behind and it is how you will be remembered.
It’s time to secure your epitaph. Think about the empty chair at your table, the reason why you’re here and the reason for moving forward, despite the ache in your heart.
Merry Christmas my friends, I wish you all a happier, healthier 2025 and beyond.
