For the first time in half a decade, the award-winning Boomtown have surprised fans by sharing an early first taste of the line up. Known for selling out in advance with details of the line up dropping only a matter of weeks before the summer spectacular of music, culture, entertainment and activism, Boomtown have embraced the spirit of Chapter 4: Power Of Now by revealing the first wave of names heading to Winchester’s Matterley Bowl between 6th-10th August 2025. With this announcement, Boomtown are making a bold statement by drawing together the most exciting names from an incredibly wide range of genres and styles. A trailblazing fixture in the global festival calendar, Boomtown is a living, breathing parallel world where the boundaries between audience and performer are blurred, and where creativity and community are at the heart of everything. From elaborate and otherworldly set designs to hidden and spontaneous performances in unexpected locations, it’s no surprise Boomtown has won ‘Best Festival Production’ at UK Festival Awards for three consecutive years. Named as ‘Best European Festival’ and ‘Best Foreign Festival In Northern Europe’ at the 2024 Heavent Paris Festival Awards, Boomtown was picked as Major Events Summit’s ‘Best Non-Sporting Event’, and named as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Best Dance Festival UK & Europe’ in 2023 too. An ever-evolving event, Boomtown 2025 will see the introduction of a breathtaking new stage which will showcase the full spectrum of 4×4 music: house, techno, and disco. Enter ‘HYDRO’. Another major change for the festival will see the monumental Origin stage regenerated as an ancient temple, newly named ‘The Lions Gate’. Next summer will see Boomtown grow back outside the Downtown bowl area once again, expanding into the surrounding hills, valleys and woodland, creating more space, more nature to walk through, more intrigue and more discovery. |
Kicking off a truly eclectic line-up with groundbreaking acts across every genre, Maribou State return to Boomtown in the wake of their highly-anticipated new album ‘Hallucinating Love’ alongside Jamaican reggae and dancehall legend Sean Paul. Paying homage to genre pioneers, Boomtown will see The Wailers, formed by bassist Familyman Barrett & remaining members of Bob Marley & the Wailers, give a reggae masterclass as bonafide disco legends Boney M will make for festival memories this summer.
