Last week Labyrinth Events announced that the legendary Madness will headline Tofte Manor’s boutique summer series on 13th July 2025. Renowned for curating unforgettable experiences in unique settings, Madness at the Manor promises an extraordinary day of music, nostalgia, and celebration in the grounds of the incredible 17th-century Tofte Manor; the band’s only summer show in East Anglia.
Today’s news comes hot on the heels of Madness’ latest album Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’Est La Vie, their 13th studio album in seven years. Fans can look forward to a live performance packed with classic hits like “Our House,” “It Must Be Love,” “Baggy Trousers,” “One Step Beyond,” and “House of Fun,” as well as exciting new material from their latest record. Hailed for their iconic hits and lively performances, Madness will bring their signature energy and timeless sound to a venue that effortlessly blends history, charm and magic.
Gates open at midday through to 10pm.
“We didn’t think there were any houses, county estates or fields we hadn’t played at,” says Madness. “Then who knew that the charming Tofte Manor in Bedford was literally right on our doorstep. Madheads unite next summer at this intimate and historic venue.”
Emerging from the backstreets of Camden Town in the late ‘70s, Madness has remained one of Britain’s most enduring musical treasures. With 15 top 10 singles, 10 UK top 10 albums, and countless awards—including the prestigious Ivor Novello—they’ve left an indelible mark on music history. From performing atop Buckingham Palace during the Queen’s Jubilee to setting record-breaking audiences for the BBC’s Live New Year’s Eve Broadcast, Madness has defined the soundtrack of generations. Their live shows continue to unite music lovers in joyous celebration.
Labyrinth Events co-founder Michael Dicks said: “Madness is the epitome of British music greatness. Pairing their legacy with the intimate magic of Tofte Manor is going to create something truly extraordinary.”
His partner Nick Castleman added: “After incredible shows with Fatboy Slim, Fred Again.., and Jungle, we’re thrilled to be bringing the legendary Madness to Tofte Manor for a day that will be remembered for years to come.”
Attendees will have the rare opportunity to walk the manor’s sacred labyrinth, a mirrored design of the Chartres Cathedral labyrinth in France. This symbol of peace and reflection offers a unique spiritual dimension, making Tofte Manor’s events as much about connection and inspiration as they are about world-class music.
This announcement comes after a landmark 2024 series that saw every Tofte Manor show sell out and has already sparked phenomenal demand for the 2025 lineup. This special show is part of a limited series at Tofte Manor in 2025, with dance music icons Sasha & John Digweed already announced for 12th July 2025. The third and final show will be announced soon.
Tickets for Madness at Tofte Manor are expected to sell out quickly. Fans can sign up for pre-sale tickets starting 29th November at 12pm HERE, with any remaining general tickets released on 2nd December at 12pm HERE.
