Halflives release new single ‘perfectly broken’

Italian pop rocker, Halflives, has today released an empowering new single, perfectly broken. Spreading a message of self-acceptance, this high-energy anthem kick starts a whole new era for Halfives mastermind Linda Battilani as she embraces the sounds of her youth and the roots that led her to become a musician.
Showcasing both Halflives infectious ability to break conventions, pre-established paths and industry norms, perfectly broken demonstrates a palpable creative growth from over the past few years, which is layered in confidence and self-belief.
“I wanted to take an empowering approach to this song and it turned out to be something I like to call happy emo,” shares Halflives. “The lyrical meaning focuses on embracing your own pain and scars, accepting yourself with all your flaws, failures and bad days. This is the message I’d like everyone to take from the song. We’re broken and that’s fine. We fail, and that’s fine. We’re only human after all. We fail, we learn, we get up and we try again, broken but wiser than before.”
Building her career brick by brick, and through it, sending a message of hope and encouragement to those who feel inadequate, left out and rejected, Halflives has been releasing music since 2016, gaining attention from media tastemakers, continued support from all the major streaming platforms, and bringing together fans who now sell out venues across Europe and the UK.
Now also going as far as co-producing her music, co-directing her music videos, co-designing her merch and more, Linda is embracing her position of creative force, unapologetically expressing her vision and the identity Halflives stands for. No matter who you are or where you’re from, you can take your shot.
