The Compilation Album Returns from GIA (Get It Around) Music it’s JukeBox Heroes Vol.1! In an age of playlists by every editor and people who think they know what a good song is; add you pay lots of dosh to be on a playlist for only 30 days that is not even promoted properly. GIA Music, known for R&B and Alternative music in the late 80’s and early 90’s, returns as a promotional label. One that is focused on bringing back the true original playlist that an artist is never taken off of, namely the Compilation album. Curated by an expert in A&R along with being a former talent scout for EMI UK, compilation albums contain songs that hook you in less than 30 seconds. Unlike playlists compilations are a plethora of genres meant to expand musical tastes as they should never be pigeon holed.
Check out JukeBox Heroes Vol. 1 out now on all streaming platforms.
Compilation Albums first hit the scene in the 1960’s and kind of fell wayside when playlists hit the streaming scene but the Phoenix always rises! In an age where everything old in music is new again being discovered by a generation who never experienced it, from actual vinyl records, to 8 track tapes it is high time the Compilation ‘Album along with Greatest Hits albums join those ranks. The first of many compilations to come out all will have a running theme of nostalgia from Jukebox Heroes, to Boombox followed by Tune that Dial and of course Operators Are Standing By. Not only is This the ultimate in ongoing indirect song promotion (each album promotion overlaps, One Volume, One Edition Promotes the other) but gives listeners a better choice of what is out there musically.
While Playlists serve their purpose undoubtedly, the Compilation albums are published on all music and streaming services at once, while a playlist needs to be curated and published on every streaming service separately. It is a more effective way for artists not only getting music exposure en masse but for listeners to become fans and search out the other songs by the artist on a compilation.
Expect more compilations out soon including Greatest Hits albums, which effectively breathes new life into music that has been sitting around a while. Follow for updates @I_pr_things and @BGAmusicgroup69 on Instagram for updates and more
