Introducing 2024’s The Voice UK winner, Ava, releases her winner’s single – a beautiful cover of The Beatles’ song ‘The Long and Winding Road’. Stream here. The release also comes alongside the announcement of a show first, judges and winner duet. Ava and her mentors Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, one half of the British rock/pop band McFly, have announced their cover of Hoobastank’s ‘The Reason’, set for release 5th November.
Hailing from Bristol, Ava’s unconventional rise to stardom is an extraordinary one, having never had vocal training before appearing on the ITV show, she blew the judges and public away with her distinct vocals and knockout performances.
Ava’s gorgeous version of The Beatles’ ‘The Long and Winding Road’ shows off her wide and impressive vocal range whilst putting a soft and delicate spin on the original track. Speaking on winning the show and releasing music Ava says, “Well, winning the voice! Where do I even start. Being part of this competition is definitely one crazy experience I’ll never forget. This is just the beginning of a dream I’ve kept in a box for years and it’s time to see some daylight. I don’t think there’s a word for how grateful I am for everything I have gained from this experience. One thing I do know though is that I canny wait to speak to the world.”
Danny Jones/Tom Fletcher also said that “Watching Ava win tonight, with the audience awarding them the victory she’s fought so hard for, makes everything worthwhile. Ava’s talent, dedication, and passion has brought her to this moment – and we couldn’t be prouder to have been a part of her journey.”
After stunning the judges and fans alike with her live prowess, she is certainly one to watch with much more to come from Ava in the new year.
