Hong Kong’s CLOCKENFLAP FESTIVAL announces CENTRAL CEE as final headliner for 2024 amongst full lineup programme

One of the planet’s most forward-thinking, iconic, fun and unique festival experiences – Clockenflap Festival is set to return to the stunning city of Hong Kong this December, rounding out the year with the last dates on the major festival calendar by bringing together an eclectic and driven lineup always looking to celebrate the diverse and the standout.

A melting pot of the boundary-pushing sounds from across genre and style coming out of East Asia at the moment mixed with some of the most celebrated international game-changers going – this year’s lineup speaks to the exciting sounds defining modern music right now. Leading the full and final additions to the festival lineup is global phenomenon Central Cee. Across a catalogue of ready-made anthems that cut to the core of modern life, his voice has transcended just breaking through but onto the big leagues as the soundtrack of here and now – with the likes of ‘Doja’ and ‘Sprinter’ primed to go off when he heads to Clockenflap 2024 for a landmark festival headline moment for the ages. 

Also announced today is the magical presence of BANKS, one of alternative-pop’s most celebrated voices who continues to carve a special path combining emotional pulls and soaring anthems. After recently celebrating the 10th Anniversary of seminal debut album ‘Goddess’, expect a hypnotising show when BANKS finally makes her debut appearance in Hong Kong at Clockenflap 2024. Equally carving her own stunning pop landscape is acclaimed newcomer Wisp, who signals the future in her own distinct voice and world. With debut EP ‘Pandora’ laying an exciting opening statement for the world, Clockenflap Festival 2024 is primed to be the perfect moment to witness a future superstar in the making – for what’s guaranteed to be a highlight of the festival weekend. 
These names are joined by an eclectic wave of incredible artists from across the East Asia region, all making their own standout moves and holding their place in modern culture that signals just why right now is a burgeoning time for East Asian music. This includes Hong Kong songwriter Serrini, local music legend Carl Wong And The Hats On Band ft Jer Lau, Korean indie-rock movers The Black Skirts, Taiwanese Mandopop star Misi Ke, Chengdu-based indie riffers Hiperson, Filipino-Japanese artist ena mori and electrifying Japanese collective TURTLE ISLAND.

This final wave of names join a stacked and rich lineup for Clockenflap Festival 2024, reaching across genre to celebrate the creative and the boundary-pushing. This year is no exception, from the magnetic energy of hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, enigmatic J-Pop stylist yama, wistful Taiwanese guitar-weavers deca joins and intricate post-rock spinners toe to the big-time showmanship of pop group Sakurazaka46, the sun-kissed flicks of Gigantic Roar, the offbeat grooves of Golden English Party, the post-punk of Xi An’s FAZI and Hong Kong’s own An ID Signal – a palette and snapshot of the most exciting voices and worlds coming out of East Asia make their statement at Clockenflap 2024.
