Rising Pop Force Áine Deane Drops EP TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING 

The UK’s rapidly-rising pop sensation Áine Deane has today released her highly anticipated EP, TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING. Out now via Mahogany Songs, the record offers a five-track collection of songs which capture the raw emotions and experiences of young adulthood, with focus on the highs and lows of love, self-discovery and the importance of female friendships.


 
Of the EP, the Áine Deane said: “TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING is the anti ‘my life is a movie’ soundtrack. It encapsulates the chaos of your early twenties and the different relationships you have to navigate. A special thank you to all the heartbreaks of my early twenties, wouldn’t be here without you!”
 
On TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING, the singer/songwriter and musician was inspired by the songwriting of pop titans Taylor Swift and Maisie Peters, and the production of country/folk-tinged artists such as Noah Kahan and Kelsea Ballerini.
 
The title track was co-written by Good Neighbours’ Oli Fox, who Deane works with extensively on her music, and produced by Kingdoms (Tom Grennan, Alexander Stewart, Ghetts). Her most recent single release, the track received incredible support from Spotify, seeing Áine become a cover artist for New Pop UK. The track also received a first play on BBC Radio 1 Future Pop with Molly King, a long-term champion of her additionally across Best New Pop. Áine has also had consistent support across BBC Introducing, nationally and in her home county of Cambridgeshire.

With the EP comes new single ‘New Normal’, a bittersweet break-up song about what it feels like to move on from someone you thought was the love of your life, delving into the reality of facing a changed world and reinventing a new version of yourself to exist in. Co-written with David Sneddon (Lana Del Ray, Lewis Capaldi), and Anu Pillai (Gabrielle Aplin, Declan J Donovan) – who also produced the track – ‘New Normal’ highlights Áine’s talent for crafting evocative melodies and acoustic-driven soundscapes.
 
TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING is the first project for Mahogany Songs, the new digital distribution and bespoke artist services venture for the global multi-platform music brand known for their Mahogany Sessions video channel. Last month, Mahogany released two sessions with Áine, a live performance of ‘TALES OF A TWENTY SOMETHING’, plus an acoustic cover of One Direction’s ‘Night Changes’. Both sessions are now also available to stream on DSPs. Mahogany have previously recorded sessions with artists such as Michael Kiwanuka and Billie Eilish.
 
Next month, Áine will embark on a UK and Ireland headline tour, kicking off in Dublin on 25th October and concluding at a highly anticipated show at London’s Scala on 31st October. Full dates below. Tickets available to purchase here.
