As with all music, song titles, lyrics and band names even, they tend to lead me down a rabbit hole, which is the reasoning behind the title here.
My friends The Autumn Killers are back with us, after their adventures in the ‘Darkside’ we come up all trouncey and pouncey with new single ‘Bounce’ a canny slice of electronica delightfully crafted, taking inspiration from all sorts of styles.
It is a great summer tune; it has all the elements you would expect to see you through this heat. The sunshine vibes are most welcome, as our lovable bunch of Autumn Tiggers tempt you inside and illuminate your life with sparkle and spangle, you’d better hang onto your glitterballs #matron- ahem. The song glides along; I’ve got Donna Summer ‘I Feel Love’ sensations flowing through my veins, it is quite smooth and polished but still has that rock feel to drive it home. With the awesome clean and clear voice of Rob Reece, it signals a triumphant return to where they belong.
A band who has been hugely popular with Great Music Stories, securing second position for Band of the Year in 2023, I’m sure they have plenty more up their sleeves.
With a new album on the way, for now though let’s bounce, and as tigger would say TTFN!
