BOOMTOWN 2024 SHARES STORYLINE + DISTRICT ELECTION CANDIDATES FOR CHAPTER 3: REVOLUTION OF IMAGINATION

Fresh from revealing one of this summer’s hottest festival line-ups, Boomtown 2024 – Chapter 3: Revolution of Imagination has shared details of this year’s storyline and individual district candidates. Set to welcome over 60,000 festival goers to Winchester’s Matterley Bowl between 7th-11th August, the long-standing and world-leading immersive festival encourages all upcoming Boomtown Citizens to engage with its in-depth storytelling and ultimately vote for a vision for the future via the Boomtown app.

Last year, Boomtown 2023 – Chapter 2: The Twin Trail saw the event conclude with their brave protagonist Elen voted as a ‘Friend of Boomtown’ who vowed to help imagine the future of the city for 2024. Today Boomtown reveals the chosen spokesperson from Metropolis, Letsbe Avenue, Area 404, Old Town, Botanica and Copperwood districts.

A vivid techtopia of enhanced indulgence with total self-expression at the core, the Metropolis district will play hosts to artists such as Ross From Friends Presents Bubble Love DJ Set, Horse Meat Disco and Fjaak on the Zenith stage. It is also the home of Metropolis spokesperson and Betterverse CEO, Aurora Venturestone. Campaigning on the policies for a 3 Hour Working Week, the Abolishment of the Concept Time and the opportunity to Gamify Work, Aurora represents Boomtown’s Pillar of Respect Yourself.

The linchpin of the town, Letsbe Avenue is full of the public services you would find on any high street featuring The Daily Rag, Inconvenience Store and more. Patrick Khan is Letsbe Avenue’s district spokesperson with policies including Maximum WageGuaranteed 100% Employment and to Do the Hokey Cokey to improve wellbeing, and represents Boomtown’s Pillar of Celebration

Area 404 is a new world reclaimed by the creative community from the mistakes of the past making it the perfect place for the inclusive and experimental Hangar 161Wrong Side Of The Tracks and Spectrum 360 stagesThe Collector embodies Boomtown’s Respect Each Other pillar with their campaign policies relating to No Borders In The Mind, No Borders On The Planet and No Borders Between Dimensions, encouraging citizens to free themselves.

The dynamic domicile of circus hustlers, lovable rogues and free spirits, Oldtown is steeped in Boomtown’s longstanding history and folklore and will welcome acts like Talk Show and Fat Brass. With Rufus The Red at the helm of the campaign, they are running on policies to Stop The Gentrification of Oldtown, to Pass On Traditions and Mandatory Clowning Around, this sets forth Boomtown’s Pillar of Connection

An ever-evolving organic wonderland, Botanica is known for converting visitors to their lifestyle of symbiosis, harmony and connection to all life on earth. Situated in Botanica is Nexus, which will host the likes of Children of Zeus, Fat DogHak Baker and more. The Great Mother will represent this exquisite district, and asks citizens to vote for Fair Pay For Foliage, Bring Back Beavers and for Boomtown to slow down by 25%, upholding the Respect The Planet pillar. 

Transformed by Von Vanderhaus studios, the roaring twenties are brought to dizzying heights at Copperwood which is now exploding with art, culture and parties taking place at The Engine HouseFoggers Mill and beyond. Spokesperson of the studios namesake, Edna Von Vanderhaus is hoping for a mandate to End Censorship, to Have A Good Time All The Time and securing Equal Rights and Votes for Women, all while exhibiting the pillars of Creativity

This year’s stacked musical line up is poised to continue the festival’s incommensurable legacy blending together music, culture, entertainment and activism through the largest interactive theatre experience in the world.
