Acclaimed singer-songwriter and producer Rosie Lowe continues to build toward her highly anticipated album Lover, Other, set for release on August 16th via Blue Flowers, with the launch of her brand new single, “Gratitudes”.

“Gratitudes” is a layered tapestry, with Rosie’s ethereal vocals dancing over a foundation of intricate percussion and soulful chords. The track unfolds with a hypnotic, twisting rhythm that pulls listeners into its orbit. Lowe’s airy voice glides through the harmonic top layers, creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and dreamlike. It’s a captivating blend of the familiar and the experimental, a sonic embrace that leaves a lasting impression.

“I’m a big believer in saying daily gratitudes to help shift my mindset. This is my ode to my morning ritual and a reminder to myself in times when I’m stuck in my head that there’s so much to be grateful for. The beat for this song came about in Berlin with D’Monk – we made it on his MPC in 15 minutes just before leaving the studio” – Rosie Lowe

The latest single follows the previously critically received singles “Mood To Make Love” and “In My Head”, which were both accompanied by striking music videos directed by Lowe’s brother, Louis Hemming-Lowe.

Lover, Other finds Lowe at the helm, taking on the recording, writing and production elements to produce something singular. Whilst her music has always evaded categorization, slipping fluidly between genres, the variety and depth here is more evident than ever before. Over the fifteen tracks, complexity and conflict is reflected – self-doubt pitted against self-assurance, age against youth, life against death – Lowe’s inner dialogue laid bare. It’s a tightrope trapeze-act, a frankenstein vehicle for her art, expertly tied together by Lowe’s flawless vocal layers and effortless delivery. The resulting record is a celebration of all sides of Lowe’s character and musicality, a patchwork tapestry of her experience.  Lowe chose to keep her team small, organic and collaborative, working with her aforementioned brother, a film director, on music videos, recording friend Isabelle Peters, an opera singer, on vocals, designing the records artwork with best friend Sylvie Pyne,  and pairing with production partners Harvey Grant  and D’Monk.
Debuting with her EP Right Thing in 2013, over the last decade the Devon-born, Deptford-based artist has carved out a space as one of British music’s most idiosyncratic artists, effortlessly weaving R&B beats,  experimental electronica and jazz introspection. Her debut album, 2016’s Control, and 2019’s follow-up YU, released via Paul Epworth’s Wolf Tone label, earned critical acclaim with features in the Guardian and British Vogue. Lover, Other is her first solo endeavor since 2021’s Now, You Know, a compelling collection of self-produced demos, and her collaborative album Son with longtime friend and kindred spirit Duval Timothy.
Lowe’s effortless, instantly recognizable vocals have brought attention from her peers, resulting in collaborations with artists including Jay ElectronicaLittle SimzMachinedrum and Lil Silva amongst others and a sample by hip-hop goliaths Future & Juice Wrld on “No Issue”. The multi-hyphenate artist is now independently signed, having moved to Blue Flowers in 2020, and enjoying a renewed sense of creative liberty as a result, poured in the fabric and essence of Lover, Other
