In the powerful Amazon Prime documentary ‘I Am: Celine Dion’, the legendary artist Celine Dion takes viewers through an emotional journey as she suffers the complications of stiff person syndrome. Whilst hits such as “My Heart Will Go On” are included, the musical spotlight now lies on her favourite song, “Who I Am” by Wyn Starks.
In a deeply heart-wrenching scene, Celine is asked to sing “Who I Am” during a tearful session with her therapist. This moment refuses to leave a dry eye in the house, which is heightened by the track’s emotive lyrics and Celine’s touching performance.
Celine’s moving connection to “Who I Am” has struck a chord globally, initiating a surprising 300% rise in streams and new chart positions in several countries, including #1 on the US, UK, Australia and Ireland iTunes R&B/ Soul charts.
“Who I Am” initially peaked at #14 on The Billboard Charts, taken from Stark’s 2022 album “Black Is Gold”. Wyn found fame on America’s Got Talent, and his since gone on to support the likes of Delta Rae with his charming, unique vocals and soulful fusion of R&B, pop and rock.
Sharing his response in a recent instagram post, Wyn shared: “I have no words to describe what I’m feeling! I’ll be on cloud 9 for the rest of my life! It’s such a full circle moment because @celinedion has been such an inspiration to me and her music has helped me get through so many obstacles in my life so seeing her belt out ‘Who I Am’ with such strength and resilience in spite of everything she’s going through will be a moment I’ll never forget. I still get emotional thinking about it!”
