The Ramona Flowers release cover of MGMT’s hit single Kids

In an exciting return for Bristol-based The Ramona Flowers, today they release their cover of MGMT’s hit single Kids, out now via Distiller Records. Produced by long-term collaborator and friend of the band, Chris Zane, who also produced the original version of Kids for MGMT. Listen to The Ramona Flowers’ version of the track HERE

Re-working the track in their signature style, the band said of the cover, “We always loved the original by MGMT. They were one of these bands that just seemed to come out of nowhere with this massive smash hit! It was the soundtrack to our lives for a while, and still stands up as a total banger today, love it!” The release is accompanied by a stunning video where the four-piece perform the song surrounded by neon lights replicating the profile faces from the band’s artwork. Their success with hit song Up All Night featuring legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers continues after reaching over 1.5 million streams on Spotify and becoming the band’s biggest release to date and is continuing to grow rapidly. Up All Night was taken from their 2022 6-track EP Gotta Get Home, hit the top 25 on the Alt US Radio earlier this year and was included in the NBA 2K24, which is available to purchase on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stream for PC. The Ramona Flowers have become known for their energetic live shows and have spent the last few years international touring, supporting artists like Noel Gallaghers’ High Flying Birds, Circa Waves, and Reverend And The Makers. While continuing a busy touring schedule, last year saw them release 5-track EP, Hey You. During Up All Night’s success, the four-piece have gone on to do multiple radio tours across the US and Europe and now are gearing up for their next exciting project…

The Ramona Flowers consists of Steve Bird (vocals), Sam Dyson (guitar), Dave Betts (keyboards/guitar) and Ed Gallimore (drums).
