So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
The response has been incredible! Our fans have been super supportive, and it’s amazing to see how they’ve connected with the new tracks. We always pour our hearts into our music, and to see that energy reflected back at us is just mind-blowing. “Heroes and Dust” got so much positive feedback from the magazines too.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Here’s a little secret: One of the tracks was inspired by a dream one of us had. It was so vivid that we had to turn it into a song. It’s a unique piece because it blends reality and imagination in a way we’ve never done before.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Collaborating with Rage Against the Machine would be a dream come true. Their energy, their message, and their revolutionary spirit align perfectly with what Exilia stands for. It would be an explosive collaboration for sure!
How has your latest release been received?
“UNLEASHED XX” and the new single “Like An Avalanche” got great support and feedback from the audience. We are very happy to celebrate our iconic record “Unleashed” with such a great song!
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
Our latest single, “Like An Avalanche,” is about confronting and overcoming personal struggles. It’s a powerful anthem for anyone who feels alone, especially after the pandemic period. It feels like we are still afraid to be together, and this “cold” mood is still around.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
The “Unleashed XX” tour just started and we just played in Freiburg. It was so great! We’ll be hitting up some of our favorite cities and venues, bringing the raw energy and passion that our fans love. We’re also planning some surprises along the way, so it’s definitely not a tour to miss.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
The Pitcher in Düsseldorf. There’s something about that place that just amps up our performance. The fans there are insanely passionate, and the atmosphere is electric. We can’t wait to tear it up there!
What else can we expect from you in 2023?
Expect EXILIA to be a project with no rules that doesn’t follow music trends or any stupid clichés. We’ve got new music in the works, more videos, and maybe even some unexpected collaborations.
