An artist of fierce intellect and purpose, Jaz Coleman heads out across the UK in March, to tell it like it is – the UNSPEAKABLE truth in the world of Killing Joke.
The 8 date Unspeakable spoken word tour will see Jaz in conversation with Shane Embury (Napalm Death). The tour starts in Glasgow at the Garage on 19th March and concludes at the Cambridge Junction on 30th March.
“I have never shared the truth about my forty five years with Killing Joke. In the Unspeakable talks I will reveal all, my personal life, my occult studies, my muses and my struggles with mental health and more recently, diabetes. As we have entered a period of apocalypse – which means The Great Revealing, I will hold nothing back concerning my extraordinary life” – Dr Jaz Coleman.
“ I am beyond thrilled to be asked to join Jaz on his Spoken word tour … what an enlightening experience this will be for everyone” – Shane Embury.
Jaz Coleman, the celebrated musician, composer, producer, author, lecturer, traveller, philosopher, actor and Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, formed the iconic post-punk band Killing Joke in 1978, with Geordie, Big Paul and Youth. Killing Joke then set out on one of the most remarkable and idiosyncratic journeys ever.
Killing Joke’s influence has been enormous, with an unlikely roll-call of musicians taking their cues from the their catalogue – from Nirvana to most modern American metal to many DJs and dance music mavericks… few, however, coming close to the band’s innate power.
In a time when the planet seems to be descending further into chaos, who better than Jaz Coleman to follow out of the darkness.
