So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
Yes, we recently released a new single “Midnight” it is the next step for Illusions of Grandeur, the 1st single from the forthcoming album “The Siren Rises” which the band hopes to have in release by early 2024. “Midnight” again takes the band musically into unfamiliar territory.

They style of our music has evolved and you can hear the differences in the two albums currently in release. The first album is melodic with a lot of soaring guitar solos, and lyrically there are a lot of songs that follow the storyline more directly. The second album is heavier as the story takes us into the underworld. We also service each song rather than try to stick to a certain genre or sound. We all have many different influences and vocally many different deliveries as well.
Illusions of Grandeur continues to work on the third part of “The Siren Saga” and the current goal is to have the first part “The Siren Rises Part1” out early 2024. Illusions of Grandeur’s 2nd album “The Siren” is the middle album of the three part “Siren Saga” that IOG is currently writing and touring on.
It is a step along the journey both musically and story wise as this album leads “The Siren” and her band into the underworld to battle hades, as told in the opening track “Crossing Over” the third part “The Siren Rises” is currently in production and the band hopes to release and tour on it in 2024-2025.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
MIDIGHT was cut pretty much live all at once, the demo version is the basic tracking for the actual release, 1st time we have ever had that occur.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
I would say Jonathon Davis of KORN, mainly because his and the band KORN’s work has just always stood out s very detailed and driven.
How has your latest release been received?
Illusions of Grandeur has received many reviews of both the albums and the videos (7 videos in release currently available on iTunes and YouTube, VEVO) Reviewers see the many sides of the band, if you are not really into our music there are the theatrics and acting done both live and in the video. Illusions of Grandeur have been told many times that there is a little something for everyone in what IOG does.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
Illusions of Grandeur new single “Midnight” is the 1st from the new album “The Siren Rises Pt1 The Raven Witch”. Midnight shows a different side of IOG’s sound incorporating darker tones and imagery to open the 3rd album of The Siren Saga, a three-part story which tells the story of The Siren from her fall from Mt Olympus to her Rise taking revenge on those that have wronged her. The style of our music has evolved and you can hear the differences in the two albums currently in release. What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
Illusions of Grandeur’s “The Siren Rises Tour 2024 kicks off in March and will go throughout 2024 into 2025 all over the US and then to Europe.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
We love all the venues that we play at, some hold a special place for us as we have met new fans and friends there, but we look forward to the entire tour!
