Aline Happ’s album wins award for Best Celtic album of the year

A new star of symphonic metal, singer Aline Happ, has just won the Best Celtic Album award from the American website Folk N Rock for her debut album, Branching Out. The album features 12 tracks, four of which are original compositions that blend Celtic music, folk and classical crossover influences. “I’m thrilled to receive this award from Folk N Rock! It means a lot to me, especially because I was in charge of all the aspects of the album ‘Branching Out’, from vocals and instruments to mixing, mastering and artwork. I also collaborated with Patrick Happ for photos and some of the lyrics and Rod Wolf for recording guitars for four songs. I want to thank Folk N Rock and everyone who supported this project. Aline Happ is a well-known name in the new generation of Symphonic Metal, thanks to her work as founder, vocalist and composer of Lyria. In her solo project, she reimagines folk/Celtic versions of rock and metal songs that you can find on her YouTube channel and streaming/download platforms. 

Lyria was founded in 2012 and since then they have released two albums with crowdfunding support, Catharsis (2014) and Immersion (2018) and played in various cities as well as being a pioneer in online live shows with ticket sales to the world over.
