“GODDESS is love, it’s lust, sex, desire, devotion, adoration and hopeless, eternal connection. It’s both crippling affection and white, hot eternal love. It’s the dizzying realization that this devotion is infinite, both eye opening and blinding at the same time, it will burn as hot as the sun but also leave you chilled to the bone. This unending connection will lead you to the ends of the earth, through time and space with an energy that simply cannot be destroyed,” says Written By Wolves vocalist Michael Murphy of new track ‘GODDESS’.
“The accompanying music video is the centre piece of our release campaign so far. Shot by Nick Kozakis and the team at Visible Studios (Tones and I, Masked Wolf) this is Written By Wolves in all it’s cinematic glory – fresh, progressive and over the top. The video tells the story of two star-crossed lovers across timelines and shows that true love is not only eternal but can withstand all that seeks to get in it’s way…” He adds.
The release of the new track comes ahead of the bands’ long-awaited first ever shows in the UK and Europe. “After years of covid setbacks and countless cancelled tour plans we are ecstatic at the prospect of finally playing to audiences across Europe and the UK and promise to elevate our live show even further as a thank you for years of patient, unwavering support from our fans”, promises Murphy. Written by Wolves announced themselves on the world stage with their debut release, ‘Secrets’ in 2019. They then went on to combine with some of the biggest names in Rock in 2021, such as Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. and Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, to release ‘The Collab Project’, an EP and mental health initiative aimed at giving their fans, friends, and followers a platform to talk about their mental health and a reminder that no matter what they are going through they do not have to do it alone.
This year, the band declared the beginning of a new era and have so far shared tracks ‘GIVE ‘EM HELL’, ‘MISERY’, ‘TAKE ME HOME’, and ‘ALTAR’. But 2023 is not over just yet, so stay tuned to see what else the band have in store…
