So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
Jake: It seems people mostly like it, but it could have more streams and popularity. Or maybe we should just reach new fans (nothing wrong with the old ones though).
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Ozzie: I’m not sure if it’s a secret, but the whole EP was completely independently produced, edited and mixed. We recorded all the guitars, vocals and all the other Instruments at my tiny home studio. Drums were the only instrument that had to be done at a “real” studio. But even there I ended up being the guy pressing the rec button.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Jake: Who should I pick today? Let’s say Dave Grohl, I’ve heard he’s a nice guy.
How has your latest release been received?
Ozzie: I’ve only heard good things about it. Let’s see how long that lasts.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
Ozzie: We’ve got this song called “Angry” on the EP. It’s about the feeling of anger, and how it affects both perspectives of the story. Super extra deep.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
Jake: We have some shows coming in the next few months, mostly in or near Helsinki. In October we’re gonna hit the road for a 3-show mini-tour with our friends Glass Wipe and Astro-Lloyd, the latter of whom will join us all the way from Sweden, so it’s gonna be super cool!
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most, and why?
Jake: I think Tavastia-klubi in Helsinki would be cool. It has a lot of history with great bands, but unlike some bigger arenas, I could see us even having a somewhat realistic opportunity to be there one day.
What else can we expect from you in 2023?
Jake: It’s mostly mentioned here above. The EP is already out and we’re gonna promote it with those shows we mentioned, maybe even book some more. We’re gonna create some cool shit in social media and maybe, just maybe, record and release a few more songs.
