Jamie T returns with a brand-new single ‘Hippodrome.’ The single arrives in the lead up to the south Londoner’s biggest ever headline show at Finsbury Park on June 30th. The show features support from IDLES, Kojey Radical, Biig Piig, Hak Baker and Willie J Healey. ‘Hippodrome’ was co-produced by Olly Burden with Jamie T.
Jamie T’s fifth studio album ‘The Theory of Whatever’ – his first with Polydor Records – charted at number 1 in the UK’s Official Charts last July, giving Jamie T his first number 1 album in the same year his seminal debut album ‘Panic Prevention’ was certified platinum -fifteen years after its original release – further cementing Jamie T as one of the defining singer-songwriters of his generation.
Following a 5-year hiatus, Jamie T returned to the playing live last year with a triumphant headline performance at the John Peel stage at Glastonbury, marking his second headline appearance in the tent. A sold-out UK tour followed in November which included a homecoming show at London’s historic Alexandra Palace, with NME declaring it “a hero’s return for the comeback king”.
