Bastille, Tom Grennan, Olly Murs & more from The Jockey Club Live music series

The Jockey Club Live’s summer season has officially arrived! Returning with their award-winning music events held at historic Jockey Club Racecourses across the country, the series opened with a packed duo of shows at Aintree Racecourse.

Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics SOLD-OUT the Red Rum Garden, with Liverpool Echo encapsulating the venue atmosphere “Aintree is the perfect venue for an act like this… there’s always something electric in the air when it comes to this specific location.”

The series started at the home of the Grand National and continues this Friday at the home of horse racing – Newmarket Racecourses. A highlight in the region’s social calendar, Newmarket Nights opens with multi-platinum selling Bastille making their course debut.

The very special show will be part of a series celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the band’s chart-conquering, twice No.1 debut album, ‘Bad Blood’, giving fans the opportunity to hear the album played live in its entirety alongside other fan favourites.

The full 2023 line-up provides something for everyone: the arena pop-rock sensibilities of McFly, chart-topping sing-along hits from Olly Murs and Craig David, funk-soul anthems from Nile Rodgers & CHIC plus monumental dancefloor cuts from Sister Bliss of Faithless and Haçienda Classical.

Wrapping up the season will be this week’s number one artist, Tom Grennan, who has just clinched the top spot with his second album ‘What Ifs & Maybes’.

Alongside show-stopping headline performances by some of the world’s biggest artists, the events offer a live experience unlike any other, with the action kicking off earlier in the evening with a six-race card.

Combined with the informal and relaxed open-air setting of these picturesque racecourses, there’s nowhere better to soak in the glorious British Summer evenings and create unforgettable memories.

Olly Murs, who headlines Newmarket Nights on Friday 18th August, said: “Honestly, I genuinely tell so many people who haven’t been to a music night at a racecourse before that they have to go and do it. It’s top entertainment, everyone comes, it’s a lovely day out with friends, families, or partners. You get to watch racing, eat some good food, drink some wine, beer or cocktails and then you get to watch an act at the end of it. It’s just brilliant fun!”

Emma Rogerson-Smith, Marketing & Communications Director, The Jockey Club Live said: “The double of Aintree shows was the perfect way to begin our season, including a sold-out show for Pete Tong. With beautiful weather forecast we can’t wait to make the most of the English summertime as our season continues with Bastille at Newmarket Racecourses.”
