Hi friends, so I’m going to share an experience that my boss had, he doesn’t mind me prattling on – ahem. Back in 2019 at Reading Festival, Kieran ( Original Rock) and Murray Macleod, The Xcerts warbling wonder were in neighbouring tents and spent some time drinking and soaking up the festival vibes, fun and frivolity ensued, friendships made, and bridges built between press and artists. A very merry time was had by all, or so I was told (cue ‘con tequila when the doors are opened…. hiccup… hahaha…).
Fast forward to yesterday and up pops this nifty mini beast, it is a 1.45 minute slice of razor sharp Rock ‘n Roll, pint sized, perfectly formed, that punches through, perforating your eardrums, If that wasn’t enough, the song features Sam Carter, all round good guy, hero to many, including myself, and someone who uses his platform to champion the way forward in this minefield called life. Long time friends Murray and Sam fire off each other, cementing a trust and vibe that leaves us wishing we were in the video too.
With so many things to ‘Ache’ over, it’s nice to have a break in the battle, race around the room at top speed, singing along, unabashed and in total disarray, that’s me not the band.
It’s a bite sized, time of your life, wipe the tears you cry moment that confirms and justifies there is life, worth living and worth fighting for, so Xcert that pressure and numb the ache, repair and restore, be the architect of your own existence.
The Xcerts ft. Sam Carter – Ache out now.
