ZEBRAHEAD’S new E.P. knocks it out of the Ska-Punk park.

California Punx Zebrahead’s latest middle of three E.P ‘II’ kicks, spits and froths with that contagious sunshine circle pit energy. Opener ‘No Tomorrow’ rebels against, who f*cking knows what, but that anger, futility and catchiness turns back the clock and evokes a beers in the air anti-celebration sing-along. ‘Licking On A Knife’ continues the, I’ve been wronged, and I’m not happy about it, never forgive or forget, makeup, break upbeat tempo matched with a mid-song heartfelt moment before erupting with a fast Maiden riff finish. Lead sing ‘Evil Anyomous’ brushes against the thigh of Ska-Punk and Emo/MTV before skanking into the sunset of second chances, and it just works.

A crotch grabbing, shoulder nodding, wife beater wearing ‘Middle Seat Blues’ has every segment a Slam Dunk anthem needs, wait for the drop, misery, never gonna let you break me down lyrics and a razor-cut ending. The final cut of the five is the aptly titled relationship-ending hymn ‘F.L.F.U’ (fuck love and fuck you). If you’re sixteen and have just split up with your partner, this tune may help you through the pain and disappointment of being dumped, or it may inspire you to get out of bed, get drunk and bang their best mate… Always do the latter.
