Rising pop-punk act Aryia shares new single ‘Losers’

Aryia is a pop-punk artist for the digital age and he wants you to know it. Riding high off the successes of a string of self-released singles and an ever-growing social media presence, today Aryia announces his signing with Velocity Records and forthcoming EP, Viral, out January 27th. Usually situated in Los Angeles, CA, Aryia relocated to Boston, MA for a year to write the album with zero distractions and the result is five fiery tracks ready for impact. First single comes in “Losers”, an anthem for anyone yearning for more out of their life. Aryia’s honest lyrical delivery surrounded by melodic guitars and pulsating drums create an infectious sing-a-long that is sure to be the next addition to your on-repeat playlist. The video for the song swirls in black and pink color tropes while showcasing a satirical take on personality flaws.

On the writing process for the song, Aryia states:

“I wrote this song because I was so sick of living in Massachusetts that I just wanted to scream. Being annoyed is an understatement. I hope if people feel stuck at where they are at in their lives they can get at least a moment of relief listening to this song. Truthfully we are all just losers doing the best we can to get by. This song and music video was my catharsis of this realization. And I hope that the people who are sick of their hometowns can relate and bang their heads to this angsty song”

As a teen, Aryia was a theater kid who loved My Chemical Romance (still does) and started toying with making YouTube videos. As an adult, Aryia has mastered writing a song that sticks and naturally creating eye-appealing content to go with it. His blend of bubblegum and sex-filled punk songs have reached virality on TikTok and beyond, and alongside it a dedicated fanbase who like Aryia, don’t always take themselves too seriously. Last year, he got his biggest break with the release of “She Don’t Like Boys” currently sitting at 10 million streams on Spotify alone and used in nearly 25,000 videos on TikTok, no simple feat for a then independent artist.

Catching the attention of Velocity Records, Aryia is setting out to make history repeat itself with the release of Viral. Working with his co-conspirator Nick Cates, the two basically locked themselves in the studio for a month, playing on and recording every track themselves. The EP serves as an emotional rollercoaster, encircled by a confident swagger as Aryia boasts through topics like heartbreak and his love/hate relationship with social media. The songs pack a sugary-punch akin to predecessors Fall Out Boy and Good Charlotte, while fitting alongside modern contemporaries like Huddy and Maggie Lindemann. Embracing the January release date, Aryia is looking to make 2023 his biggest year yet and Viral is the just start.
