When did the initial idea for your latest single come together?

Our latest single is called “Coherence” It was initially written some time ago. It competed for a place on our latest album but didn’t fit into the concept, so we decided to release it as a single as we feel that it’s a really strong song. We are a Story Metal band and that means that we tell stories from our own life and our own experiences and combines modern story telling with the right mood through well chosen music styles. In this case we all felt that the world could need a little more Coherence based upon what we see happening all around us.

How would you describe the track, to a reader that is unfamiliar with the band?

Coherence is a heavy metal song with a old school riff based vibe to it. It tells a true story which makes the lyrics as important as the music itself. Pressures music is very guitar based and if you like a song with a good story, a heavy beat and a good riff this is the song for you to start listen to Pressure.

Can you tell us a bit more about the meaning behind the track?

We all strive for Coherence in some way. But on the other side, nowadays society also seems to push people further apart. In this digital world we see less of each other and we have talked to a lot of people that feel alone even if they are in the middle of a crowd. Coherence is our battle call against loneliness and our way to acknowledge and spread awareness that this is a serious problem. We all need to look out for each other. We need to meet to form close connections among friends, colleagues, family and other social contacts. In this digital world one can have several hundreds of friends but even so sit alone and have no one to call to come over. Lets bring this world together and let Coherence be the start of it.

How would you say that the track compares to anything you’ve done before?

As we always start with the lyrics and choose our style of music which best to tell the story, we often are considered very diverse in our song writing style. Coherence is no different so I would say that it’s a bit different than our other stuff but there are also some elements that are the same. If you like Coherence you will sure find a good deal of tracks in our catalogue that you will like.

What was the hardest part about putting it together, and why?

The hardest part were to record it. It was recorded during the pandemic so all things are recorded in different studios and we just sent different tracks and ideas back and forth as audio files. Its very frustrating because then you wouldn’t get direct feedback. That was a challenge but we also learned a lot by doing so. We listened more and came up with more constructive feedback on the others takes.

Why should a reader check out the track?

Because it’s a great hard rock/heavy metal track that will have you banging your head and pump up your volume. It hits hard and the lyrics strikes even harder.

What else can you tell us about the track, that we haven’t covered in this interview?

When recording the drums for Coherence we broke over 12 drumsticks. See I wasn’t kidding when I said it hits hard!
