Ahead of the release of their highly-anticipated album The Alchemist’s Euphoria (out August 12th on Columbia Records), Kasabian have dropped their stellar new track ‘The Wall’.

Written by Serge Pizzorno and produced by Serge and Fraser T Smith, with mixing from Spike Stent, ‘The Wall’ is the fourth advance from The Alchemist’s Euphoria. Sonically inspired by space and drenched in starlight, the piano driven track is the band at their most vulnerable.

“The Wall was written probably a year ago, maybe even longer. Originally, it was about having a hangover, so it started off a little bit as a joke, but it doesn’t mean that anymore,” Serge said of the track. “It’s weird you start at one place in your head and then as you finish it and read it back you go ‘Actually no, you know what…’ It’s perfect for this album. You hit a f*cking wall, but you get back up again.” Listen to ‘The Wall’ HERE.

Of the new album Serge adds: “One thing about this record I feel over the other ones, is it definitely feels like a body of work that belongs together. It was a beautiful moment in mastering hearing it as a piece. I think it really holds up in our seven albums….The Magnificent Seven”.

The band have also been confirmed to perform ‘The Wall’ for the first time as part of the BBC’s coverage for the Women’s Euro final this Sunday, where England take on Germany. Coverage starts at 15:50 on BBC One.
