Almost 4 decades after the release, The Police classic ‘Every Breath You Take’ gets a folk version by Aline Happ

The song “Every Breath You Take” is a classic song from The Police. Launched in 83, it is still a major hit of the English band. So, there was no surprise when the song was chosen to have a folk and Celtic version by mezzo soprano singer Aline Happ. On her YouTube channel, counting with more than one million views, she publishes original songs and Folk and Celtic reinterpretations that bring new life to songs, whether pop, rock or even metal.

Commonly played at weddings, the lyrics of “Every Breath You Take” are far from romantic. The song talks about someone who doesn’t get over a relationship, and stalks the loved one. On the other hand, many people find something passionate about the lyrics, making it one of The Police’s biggest hits, becoming the most played song on radio in the United States, with more than 15 million plays on the stations.

Aline Happ’s first solo album crowdfunding campaign was a success! Happ is recording her first solo album with originals and Celtic/Folk versions of Rock and Metal songs. The artist reached more than 200% of the goal and soon the pandemic is over she will announce the next steps about the album and the perks selected on her campaign.

The videos posted on Aline Happ’s channel are sponsored by her fans on Patreon.
