Interview: Poison Oak

When did the initial idea for the track ‘Hope You Like The View’ come together?
It came from a Riff Ray had. He brought it into the band, there was the riff, the verse and somewhat of the chorus and that was it. It was idea that he had for a while, and we decided to flesh it.
How would you describe the track, to a reader that is unfamiliar with the band?

It’s basically an indie rock, punk song. Full of different melodies and riffs that can be somewhat reminiscent of blink 182, but not blink 182

Can you tell us a bit more about the meaning behind the track?

It’s basically an indie rock, punk song that reflects on the choices we make and perhaps sometimes those choices are not made for the right reason.

How would you say that the track compares to anything you’ve done before?

I’d say it is a bit of step up in our production. We really thought about the guitar riffs more in this one, where they were positioned, and did more double tracking.

What was the hardest part about putting it together, and why?

Finishing it haha, as we just wanted to keep adding ideas in.

Why should a reader check out the track?

Because, if you have 4 minutes spare what else would you do?
