Tate Logan Makes Solo Debut with ‘Kill Me To Try’ Video

Tate Logan has shared his infectious, new single and music video for “Kill Me To Try.” “Kill Me To Try” serves as an anthemic exploration of a mundane, ordinary life and the fear of falling into an unfulfilling routine. Adorned in a cheetah-printed fur jacket and Tate’s disheveled blue hair which has become a signature to his look, “Kill Me To Try” offers a relatable story Yeah that effortlessly resonates with an entire generation of dreamers lusting for a life full of adventure and spontaneity.

“It’s about being so deep in a dream that the concept of failure that may or may not come is out of sight and currently irrelevant,” Tate Logan says of “Kill Me To Try.” “It’s a lust so great that you’re willing to turn your life upside down for the slightest chance something incredible could happen. Sometimes packing your shit, quitting your job, and moving as far from home as possible is the only way you’ll ever truly find out.”

Belting out in the chorus, “Instead of wasting time/Would it kill me to try?” Tate Logan emphasizes his attention to detail through his vocal expertise creating a stuck-in-your-head hook that you’ll be singing on repeat for days and could easily rank amongst some of the catchiest pop-punk songs to date.

Falling headfirst into the “Kill Me To Try” music video, the track opens, “I’ll burn it all down/And start with something brand new,” while Tate is startled awake by a text message proclaiming in caps-lock that he’s late to his session at the studio.

Despite rushing to throw on clothes, grab his guitar, and start up his van to no avail, Tate strolls through the streets of LA seemingly unphased by his tardiness and instead stops to grab a pack of cigarettes, urinate behind a dumpster and walk along the Hollywood Walk of Fame before arriving at the back entrance of the studio.

Closing the video and track with an intense growl, singing, “Would it kill me to try?”, Tate receives a text explaining that his session is tomorrow rather than today as he rolls his eyes and shrugs away from the door.

Kill Me To Try” was written by Tate Logan and Andy Tongren with Matt Squire performing double duty as a writer and producer of the track. The video was directed and edited by Alexander Bemis.
