After much teasing on social media from acclaimed British rock band Asking Alexandria, the greatly anticipated Never Gonna Learn 4-track EP is now available to stream and purchase after its release today. Featuring an exciting new collaboration with Maria Brink of In This Moment, as well as additional new music from the band’s critically acclaimed 2021 album See What’s On The Inside, the icons continue to reveal “What’s on the Inside.”
The Never Gonna Learn EP is inspired by the pre-release single and title track of the same name, also following the success of single ‘Alone Again,’ which became the band’s first ever number one at US Active Rock Radio.
Opening the project with a bang, ‘New Devil’ is full of thrust and charged with electricity. Combining Maria Brink’s hypnotic, smooth siren-like cries with gravelly chants, it raises hell and hopes for the rest of the EP. Title track ‘Never Gonna Learn’ mixes whistle tones with belting vocals, adding a playful twist on the mature sound and polished instrumentation. ‘Miles Away’ on the other hand takes a low-key yet still powerfully moving approach. With guitar-work that ripples from either side of a headset and a pumping drumbeat like the steady beating of a heart, a blissful euphoria is crafted, building to the dramatic crescendo of passionate yearning. Listeners don’t have long to dwell in the calm after the storm of ‘Miles Away,’ as concluding track ‘Find Myself’ delivers the final blow to this masterpiece. A swell of orchestral strings carries listeners away, spiralling into a silence that leaves one itching for the replay button.
The group are excited to continue connecting with fans on the road in 2022, with Ben Bruce stating, “2021 was another strange year for everyone, so we wanted to do something special for our fans and kick the new year off with a bang! We are super excited to release the Never Gonna Learn EP. Instead of just releasing our new single we wanted to give you all something a little extra so we have included two brand new songs on this single EP, one of which we hold near and dear to our hearts, and another that we collaborated with our good friend Maria Brink of In This Moment. To top it all off, we will be going out on our first US headline run since 2018! We cannot wait to see you all soon and we hope you love these new songs as much as we do!”
Maria Brink also commented on her collaboration with the band on ‘New Devil’:

Last year, the band signed a global deal with Better Noise Music, and now the group are set for a UK and Europe Tour this Spring, with North American Tour dates coming soon!
