Single Review: Once Great Estate “Shelbyville Inn”

Off their latest album “Even The Undertaker,” released on 31st July
2021, Once Great Estate’s “Shelbyville Inn” has emerged as a distinct
piece of music that was well crafted, with easily relatable lyrics.

The track, recorded and performed by the cinematic Southern rock
sounding band, featuring singer, songwriter, and guitarist Tracy
Horenbein, is that one song that sets country music apart from any other
music genre. “Shelbyville Inn,” tells a story that leaves a strong
impression about truth, unreturned feelings, and memories that we all
want to keep part of us, forever. With its vivid imagery, pure poetry,
and universal emotions, the track was produced at the Neve-based
recording studio, Indianhead Factory in Tallahassee, Florida, managed by
the lead singer Tracy and her husband.

“Once Great Estate” originally joined the music scene in 2018 when Tracy
Horenbein enlisted to help four fellow multi-instrumentalists to form a
band of the Southern misfits: Jeffrey Chagnon (Bass), F. Matthew Burns
(Guitarist), Christopher Ash (Fiddle player/guitarist) started as the
pioneers of the band who were later joined by Steve Burke (Drummer).
Together, they have released a couple of singles, including the album
that features the single “Shelbyville Inn.” Their music has received
massive airplay and international iTunes charting, and one writer
described the band’s Americana sound as “Cinematic Southern rock.” Their
lead vocalist, Tracy Horenbein, also doubles as a solo singer-songwriter
that received recognition in The Guardian magazine Folk Album of the
Month May in 2021, as Tracy Chow. Her remarkable talent is indeed
infallible…
