Singer, songwriter and music producer Aline Happ suffered one of the biggest losses of her life: the death of her grandmother. Always mentioned in the artist’s interviews as one of her greatest supporters, the family matriarch’s farewell became the theme of the single “Flower of Light”, which was one of the ways the singer found to deal with grief. The song is available on Aline Happ’s YouTube channel.
“I felt the need to eternalize my grandmother and music has this power. My grandmother was a wonderful person and I would like her to be remembered forever. I made this song about her, with a message of love and hope. I hope she can listen to it wherever she is. I call her “Lily flower”, which is one of my favorite flowers (I think this was already known, as my band’s name is Lyria) and I also discovered that her name, Suely, means lily and light.”, recalls Aline Happ..
Used to write autobiographical songs, Aline Happ now brings to her new song something she hadn’t dealt with before: the grieving process. “This is the first time someone so close has gone, the pain and emptiness are inexplicable. I hope this song brings comfort and peace to everyone who has also lost someone.”, says Aline.
