The Mustard debut with album Stranger Times

Stranger Times is available now for streaming on all major platforms.

Formed during the Winter pandemic period of February 2021, The Mustard have released their debut album Stranger Times, an album which has taken inspiration from the world’s current state of uncertainty.

The Mustard consists of members Jez Dubery (lead vocals,) and Ollie Foord (guitars and vocals,) who were part of the band Red Eye previously, as well as Nick Karp (bass and vocals,) Gary Cheevers (drums,) and Lukas Kelly (keyboards, arrangements).

Stranger Times mixes a variety of sounds, Alternative Rock at its core, with a twist provided by Lukas’ synth and electronic work. A nostalgic dash of 80’s combined with the alternative twist, The Mustard are current and catchy in their memorable hooks and lyrics which carry emotional depth and a common relatability.

The album’s highlights include ‘Illusion,’ a track which member Ollie decided to write after experiencing a difficult time in early 2020. The track explores heavy themes in its handling of suicidal subject matter, however the track’s message rings clear as Ollie reconsiders and thinks of the impact these actions will have on others. Energetic tracks like ‘Too Good for That’ and ‘Superfine’ inject an upbeat addictiveness, with the individuality of both tracks’ sunny rhythms.

The Mustard are currently working on music for Album 2, so fans and new listeners are sure to be in for another exciting serve of eclectic sounds very soon.

Stranger Times is available to stream on all major platforms now.
