Grace and Favour

So, my friends we find ourselves at the end of the most monstrous year, but before you give up on 2021 entirely, spare a thought for our Cornish cousins 50 Year Storm, who slide in effortlessly with their new single ‘Grace’. We the British people pride ourselves on being a nation of animal lovers but scratch the surface to reveal cruelty and levels of psychopathy and sociopathy only reserved for the most deranged among us. It is indeed a shameful attribute, exposed in this fiery and sturdy little number, and one that tugs at my heartstrings, derailing my stability and my emotions as I am thrown back mercilessly to the time I watched ‘War Horse’. The video uses the dancing flames imagery to send vital messages coursing through your body, a wake-up call at a time when it is most needed. The composition has excluded keyboards this time, but that has not taken anything away from the final recording. There is enough power from the drums and guitar to silence the naysayers. These guys will make sure you do not lay on your laurels, though your bellies may be full of beer and cheese at this time. They are indeed an agitator, picking at a scab until it bleeds, but with a determination to move forward on a fair and equal platform, we cannot misunderstand their presence and their undertaking. Their passion is unwavering; their ignition system switched on, 50 Year Storm are a band who have memorised the fine of arts of immediacy and efficacy.
A storm in a teacup? I’ll put the kettle on.
