Ok, so this is truly huge news. The team over at the punk perfect Rebellion Festival has just announced a second festival to run in tandem with their own four day Punk/Oi!/New Wave/Reggae/Rock shindig.
The R-Fest is a 15000 capacity outdoor event held a seagull swoop away from Rebellion’s spiritual home, The Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The line-up is mightly impressive with Gary Numan, The Levellers, Squeeze and The Stranglers taking on the four headline spots. The supporting bill on each day is also incredibly strong with The Wildhearts, Buzzcocks, Peter Hook, The Undertones, Peter Hook And The Light plus The Skids all performing over the long weekend.

FRIDAY 5th AUGUST: The Stranglers, The Undertones, The Skids, From the Jam, Toyah, Jilted John, The Vapors
SATURDAY 6th AUGUST: Gary Numan, Peter Hook & the Light, Pop Will Eat Itself, Spear of Destiny, Chameleons, Primitives, Pete Bentham & the Dinner Ladies
SUNDAY 7th AUGUST: Squeeze, SPECIAL GUEST TBA, Tom Robinson Band, Hollie Cook, Buzzcocks, Altered Images, I, Doris
R-FEST is a standalone festival and day tickets are available at £50 per day. However, if you are a REBELLION weekend or *REBELLION day ticket holder your ticket will get into R-FEST Free Of Charge! (*So buy a Rebellion weekend ticket and enjoy both festivals for the price of one!)
R-FEST is all ages and there is re-entry available.
The Rebellion Festival Held over the same days at The Winter Gardens has already announced that Stiff Little Fingers, Cock Sparrer, Sham 69, Neville Staple, Ruts DC, Chelsea, UK Subs, Circle Jerks and Bad Religion amongst its early confirmations. Whichever you play it get that accommodation and travel booked because Blackpool will be bustin’ at the seams in early August 2022.
