Sertraline, rapidly rising stars of the UK progressive tech metal scene have announced the imminent departure of their frontwoman Lizzie Parry. Lizzie leaves the band on good terms with no issues between her and the rest of Sertraline; life events over the course of the last year or so just mean that Lizzie is moving on to a new chapter in life and wishes the boys and her future replacement every success. A more detailed explanation and video recap from Lizzie herself can be found below: |
Before Lizzie leaves, there are both a final set of shows to look forward to, as well as some new music. Details on new music will be confirmed in the coming days. Sertraline are on tour across the Northern half of the UK next week for five shows in England and Scotland in what will be the last chance to see the current Sertraline line up. The dates are as follows: September 8th – Birmingham – Dead Wax – Tickets September 9th – Manchester – The Bread Shed – Tickets September 10th – Edinburgh – Bannermanns – Tickets September 11th – Newcastle – Little Buildings – Tickets September 12th – Leicester – Firebug (part of the Uprising Aftermath Festival)* – Tickets OTD or as part of full Uprising Festival tickets. Support on all shows comes from Dreameater, with additional local support at each date. (* The Leicester show is part of the Uprising Festival, so it is not a full Sertraline headline set). |
Sertraline’s most recent release, their Clouded Minds & Silver Lines EP was released in May 2020 to fan and critical acclaim. It can now be streamed in full on Spotify. It is also available from iTunes / Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and Google Play. CD copies of the EP are also available from the Sertraline official online store, along with other band merchandise for those who would like to support the band directly. The most recent single from Clouded Minds & Silver Lines is 2205, which was released earlier this year as a tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing act in 2017.
