POM, aka the Power Of Music, have today announced their app will officially launch on the 10th August 2021 but fans and users can download the queue app from today – links are live now at www.discoverpom.com.
Initially limited to 25,000 users, POM has released the queue app which allows users to secure their position on POM. The first 1000 matches in launch week will be eligible to a free date (more info to come on that). The app can be downloaded on all Apple and Android devices and the queue app will change over to the full app on the 10th August.
POM focuses on users forging connections through their shared music tastes and want to help them find love online but also through their carefully curated real-life events and dating experiences. To coincide with the launch, POM will host their first of many POM PARTIES, taking place at Night Tales, Hackney on 5th August and featuring a DJ set from the brilliant Shanti Celeste. The party will kick off at 5pm and feature pop ups from Only Jerkin’ and more TBA. Tickets are available now from here.
POM allows their users to see a person’s true, emotional profile instead of a series of facetuned photos and misleading bios, bringing back the organic nature of meeting someone. POM users sign up and connect their music streaming service (the initial launch is compatible with Spotify and Apple Music) to their profile, allowing their tastes to then be analysed by POM’s smart algorithms. POM uses a first of its kind algorithm in order to determine the users emotional profile based on the music they listen to. POM also wants to help you find love, whatever your gender identity or sexual orientation. If you’re a music lover, you’re welcome on POM. A dating app unlike any other!
POM was created by young, up-and-coming British entrepreneur Vihan Patel. Speaking of the app’s launch, Vihan added: “We are really excited to finally get the app into the world.
