“If I can’t dance, it’s not my revolution”: the irrepressible spirit of D:Ream returns

Wind your clocks back to the 90s, and the music of D:Ream was inescapable. Soundtracking some of the darkest moments in the UK’s history, D:Ream were always there to remind us that ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ – and sometimes, all you had to do was dance.

It’s utterly fitting that house music for difficult times is making a comeback in 2021. The pandemic has taken so much from us – least of all, nights out with our loved ones, dancing the night away in beautiful catharsis. The return of a duo whose primary purpose is to remind us that things will improve at the same time as giving us a beat to dance to is just too perfect for words. Whether that dancing be in public with our friends, or in our bedrooms or on zoom, it’s the ultimate reminder that the joy of movement will always be there for us.

We can expect more hopeful, authentic tunes on the pair’s comeback record, OPEN HEARTS, OPEN MINDS, which will be released on the 23rd July 2021.
