Album Review: Moshin’ The Roof On Volume 2

Mosh ‘Til You Drop.

My friends a year has passed by since the first lockdown and also since the first CD to raise awareness and much needed funds for Shelter, the charity that supports the homeless. Once again we ask you to dig deep and rally round as their plight has not diminished, and so I present to you ‘Moshin’ The Roof On Volume 2’ as we redouble our efforts and aim to loudly combat homelessness.

An exuberant and edifying mix of UK Thrash like no other, this fine selection of the  rambunctious  and the rowdy will shake your bones until they rattle and roll all over, holding you upside down by your ankles until you empty your pockets and then leave you limp like a rag doll.

From Blacklist through to Night Fighter and crossing all points in between this is a journey that even the most seasoned pit addicts will relish. This double CD package features some of the usual suspects from the first release and I for one am happy to see my friends Ashen Crown and Scarred By Truth lending their support.

A sizeable Thrashfest, thumping, crashing and pounding around, a juggernaut, accelerating across the wasteland that our lockdown souls have become. We are indeed living in troubled times and at times like these we all need an avenue to vent our rage and fear, a hearty and swift two fingers to the establishment that has created this imbalanced playing field. What you get here my friends is musical finery layered with swathes of heaviness, punctuated with bursts of citrus like fresh and zesty riffery, its tendrils advancing forth to gouge out your eye balls, but after a change of heart decides to nestle gracefully in your addled and frazzled brain.  Please accept this unfeigned cranium crush from Uk Thrashers, an investment that will show untold dividends, a chance to help those in need and to showcase the talents that have been decimated due to this pandemic.

Stand by your beds folks, here comes the cavalry!
