Tally Spear releases new single ‘When Nobody’s Around’

London-born rising star Tally Spear today releases her brand new single, When Nobody’s Around. Blending haunting melodies with the singer-songwriter’ssignature brooding vocals, the track explores life as we all know it since the world effectively came to a standstill, following the global pandemic. The self-directed video will follow in a few weeks time.

Tally has said this about the song, “I wrote this track over zoom during lockdown with my close friend, artist and producer Ro Nova. I recorded the vocals at home; sang them over the instrumental of the track she put together from her home. The song is essentially about living each day in the new life we found ourselves in while dealing with Covid19 – seeing the same things over and over, lacking a direction. I think most people in the world will be able to relate to this song in some way.” Listen to When Nobody’s Around here.

Tally has cut her teeth on the live circuit over the last few years, playing venues such as a sold out Ronnie Scott’s, at festivals such as the Vegan Camp Out Festival where she supported the likes of Akala, and performed at the renowned BST Festival in Hyde Park, alongside the legendary Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder and more.

This is quite the accolade for a completely independent and DIY artist; an ethos which is very important to Tally.

Ever since Tally could hold a pen, the chanteuse has been writing poetry and stories.
