Mother Mother reveal emotional fan-sourced video for ‘I Got Love’

Vancouver’s alt-rock giants MOTHER MOTHER have unveiled the official video for their new single ‘I Got Love’. The video is comprised of clips selected from nearly four thousand fan-made submissions over the course of a weeklong contest and features a moment sure to move viewers to tears.

The band have also announced INSIDE, their eighth full-length album and first for Parlophone Records, is set for release on June 25th.  Click here to pre-save or pre-order INSIDE now.

To celebrate, MOTHER MOTHER have confirmed a worldwide tour for 2022 in support. Dates include nearly 40 shows in 14 countries, including performances in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, London, with more to be announced. Tickets for European and UK dates are available from today, with the exception of Germany, which goes on sale April 12th at 9am BST. Click here for full details.

INSIDE takes its inspiration from self-reflection, something band frontman and songwriter Ryan Guldemond was forced to do in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. After several months of writing and recording demos in his home, the album was recorded with Juno award-winning producer Howard Redekopp, who produced the band’s first two releases.

Of creating INSIDE Guldemond says, “The world stopped, and all the sudden I had a lot more alone-time on my hands, which isn’t necessarily conducive to song writing.  Usually, I like to venture out and find guidance from an external, interactive narrative—travelling, people, serendipities etc. I love that process – it’s almost like you’re in collaboration with the world. But since that wasn’t an option, I set about a different kind of travel, one more inward and personal, exploring different types of therapies, meditation, and journaling as a means to unearth songs from a deeper, interior place.”

MOTHER MOTHER, comprised of Ryan Guldemond, Molly GuldemondJasmin Parkin, Ali Siadat and Mike Young, have had a whirlwind decade; over 1.2 billion streams and views, more than 15 million monthly listeners and counting on digital platforms and 2.5 million Shazam searches. The band had a recent feature in Rolling Stone, and made several appearances of late in Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart, as well as topping Lyric Find’s global and US lyric search charts.

In their native Canada, MOTHER MOTHER have had many top 10 singles on the alternative radio charts, including #1’s for weeks on end and the crown of most airplay for any alternative act at radio for multiple years running. Globally, the band’s avid fan base continues to grow exponentially, as their presence on TikTok organically exploded during the fall of 2020 during lockdown. A variety of songs from O My Heart and Touch Up were used virally on the platform over 325 million times, resulting in millions of streams and new followers on streaming platforms and socials.

As an engaging live act, their most recent pre-pandemic tours include sold-out headline dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Boston, London, all across Canada and more.
