Old school meets New School with Isacc Lindsey.  It’s soul with Rhythm and Blues music mashup experience with that splash of classic MoTown/Chi Town sound.  His new song “Turn Back The Hands of Time” echoes the sounds of B.B. Kings, Tyrone Davis and Al Greene, a lyrical embodiment of Rockin’ and Rollin’, Rhythm and Blues Soulin’.

  • What made you want to become a musician?

I was raised around music. My Mother and Grandmothers kept me in Church where I was exposed to a lot of great singing and very gifted musicians. My Father and my Grandfather were Club guys and they were always playing Soul, R & B, and Blues music in their vehicles and around the house. As a very young Child, I started singing in Church and started taking piano lessons by the time I turned six. I eventually became a Church musician and I wrote and recorded my first song while in my teens.

  • Which instruments did you play in high school?

I played piano, keyboards, organ, and saxophone. I was also a lead vocalist in my high school’s stage band.

  • What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next five to 10 years?

I believe that I will own a conglomerate of radio stations, my television show will be picked up in syndication, and that my music will impact the World.I truly believe that God has chosen me to be a World changer and I am so thankful for my journey this far; but I know the best is yet to come.

  • Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?

I love radio and tv production and I love reading and writing. In my down time, I also like to shoot pool and watch old school movies.

  • What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?

My greatest strength is that I am teachable. I love to learn new things. I love technology and innovations; however I believe that music in its simplest form is the main thing to make hits that stand the test of time.

  • Do you have any weaknesses that you’re actively working to improve on?

My greatest weakness is going above and beyond the call of duty to help others. Many times my feelings have been hurt because sometimes I want more for others than some want for themselves.I am also a perfectionist and sometimes my relationship with others is damaged because of it. Simply, sometimes I love and care too much.

  • Which instrument is your favourite to play and why?

I love the piano; but I don’t get a chance to play and practice much because of my busy schedule. So, currently my greatest instrument is my voice. I sing a lot. When I am woke; I am singing and/or listening to music.

  • What is it about music that makes you feel passionate?

I love melodies and arrangements; but I also listen closely to the lyrics. I love all styles of music and the messages in song. I believe that the right song and message can uplift us and even change our lives.

  • Describe your favourite and least favourite part about being a musician.

My favorite part of being a singer and musician is being able to create and make sounds that lift others through the gift of music. My least favorite part of being a musician is forgetting some of the ideas that I get sometimes.

  • Which instrument is your least favourite to play and how do you make sure you play it well?

I don’t have a least favorite instrument. I absolutely love making music. Because of my work schedule; I regret that I don’t have the time to practice and play much anymore. So, currently my main instrument is my voice and I use it as often as I can; even in my leisure.
