Rebecca Ferguson released her latest magnetic single, “No Words Needed,” via Platoon today.
“No Words Needed” was recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London with their Chief Creative Advisor and legendary hit-maker, Nile Rodgers, who co-wrote the song, in addition to assistance from Mike Needle, Dan Bryer, Mark Ralph, and Russell Graham.
“No Words Needed” continues a hot streak for Ferguson, which includes four Top 10 studio albums in addition to her subsequent hit singles “Nothing’s Real But Love,” “Backtrack,” “Shoulder To Shoulder,” and her latest hit, “Nothing Left But Family.”
Ferguson’s latest single is another fruitful collaboration between the veteran British singer and the legendary producer. Building off the moment of “Nothing Left But Family,” Ferguson and Rodgers linked once again for “No Words Needed,” a powerful anthem celebrating the joy of romance. Ferguson’s voice dances over the buoyant synths and stadium-ready drums. Rodgers’ penchant for hit-making is on full display, accenting the melody with funky guitar grooves and a bouncy bassline.
Regarding working with Ferguson, Rodgers had the following to say: “We just have an undeniable chemistry. Every time we get together it feels like something special happens.”
Rebecca added, “Working with Nile never gets old, I’m still in awe of his talent. ‘No Words Needed’ came together in a fit of creativity. I can’t wait to keep working with him.”
Rebecca will be back in the studio with Nile Rodgers working on her fifth studio album and will be touring in the UK as soon as restrictions are lifted.
